The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is a breathtaking landscape of colorful cliffs and powerful waterfalls. Its scale surprises many visitors, and the viewpoints along both rims are short walks with big payoffs.
The Upper and Lower Falls are the highlights, and the Lower Falls, plunging deep into the canyon, is the showstopper. It is a long day's drive from Island Park, so plan it as a full-day trip and start early.
