Valley Yellowstone

Lamar Valley, in the park's northeast corner, is famous for wildlife: big herds of bison, and some of the best chances in Yellowstone to see wolves, especially early in the morning with a spotting scope.

It is a long drive from the West Entrance, several hours each way, so most Island Park visitors save it for a dedicated wildlife day and leave well before sunrise.
