Lake Yellowstone

Yellowstone Lake is a vast mountain lake surrounded by wilderness. This part of the park has a quieter, more open feel than the busy geyser basins, and wildlife sightings along the shore are frequent.

It is one of the farther park highlights from Island Park, so pair it with the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone or the drive past West Thumb on a long, early-starting day.
