About a mile downstream from Upper Mesa Falls, the Henry's Fork drops again at Lower Mesa Falls. It is the quieter of the two, seen from an overlook high above the canyon with a stunning forest backdrop.
The best view is from the Grandview Campground and Overlook on the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway (Highway 47). The Mesa Falls Nature Trail, about a mile long, also ends at a Lower Falls overlook.
